You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while delivering service through teamwork in a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and/or hazards, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and document security-related activity in written reports and logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control, alarms, and requests from staff, students, and visitors.
  • Operate post instructions as assigned, including using radios and other communication tools to coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
