As a Security Officer Armed Driver Perimeter Patrol in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or other authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and/or required reports accurately.
  • Maintain awareness of the correctional environment, communicate relevant information with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, and follow all applicable firearms, equipment, and post-order requirements.
