Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
- Support staff, patients, and visitors with directions and access-related questions while following post orders and healthcare location protocols.
