About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Yorktown Heights, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or transport vehicles in accordance with location protocols.
Observe shipping, receiving, and trailer yard activity for security-related concerns, report suspicious behavior and/or operational issues, and support orderly operations across the location.
