Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify permitted entry in accordance with site protocols, assisting with visitor screening, directions, and other security-related support as needed.
Communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity, while preparing clear and accurate reports.
