About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol with Active Clearance in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, access control, and/or security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access when required, and assist with visitor direction and general information in a commercial real estate location.
• Support daily property operations by observing building conditions, reporting suspicious behavior, and communicating clearly with tenants, visitors, first responders, and/or Allied Universal personnel.
