Requirements

• An armed guard card/license is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive infrastructure, verifying credentials and reporting unusual conditions, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.
• Support incident reporting and post orders by maintaining accurate logs, following assigned protocols, and assisting with security-related responses during changing site conditions.
