About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Goleta, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry and/or exit activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support authorized access and proper visitor processing.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, noting patrol findings, disturbances, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues for follow-up.
