Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and sharing observations with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe the movement of students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors, reporting suspicious behavior, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support campus operations during classes, events, and/or after-hours activity by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related requests in a courteous manner.
