About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a people-first environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach, while contributing to daily operations with agility and professionalism as part of Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access control issues or policy violations.
  • Support site personnel and visitors with directions, information, and/or assistance during routine operations, alarms, evacuations, and other security-related events.
