Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directions and general inquiries, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional presence in a government-related transit environment by following post orders, observing daily activity, and/or helping with crowd management during peak travel periods and special events.
