As a Security Officer Patrol Support Specialist in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and travelers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, administrative spaces, parking locations, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing authorized personnel and visitors in accordance with site protocols.
• Support daily operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, assisting with crowd management during busy periods, and completing routine reports related to security-related activities.
