About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities as needed. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents or operational needs.
  • Document daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and/or maintenance or security-related concerns in required logs, reports, or electronic systems.
