As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Longwood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic auto auction location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, transport drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an auto auction location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, vehicle lot issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout auction lanes, parking areas, entry and exit points, offices, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle flow, verify credentials and/or permissions when required, and assist with directing guests, deliveries, and authorized personnel according to site procedures.
  • Support daily closing and opening routines, observe for trespassing, property damage, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate maintenance, lighting, or gate issues that could impact site operations.
