As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, classrooms, offices, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, visitor direction, and after-hours building checks in an educational location.
• Support special events, exhibits, and daily campus operations by following post orders, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and providing a professional presence throughout the location.
