As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Camillus, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Have customer service experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor customer and employee traffic, assist with access-related issues, and/or support orderly operations during busy business hours, opening procedures, and closing procedures.
• Observe for suspicious, unusual, and/or potentially disruptive behavior, then communicate with appropriate personnel and follow post orders for incident response and escalation.
