As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Services in Independence, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to support orderly operations and timely communication with site contacts and/or first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee movement in accordance with site policies, helping to report concerns, document activity, and/or assist with directions and general assistance.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site personnel as needed.
