As a Security Officer Patrol Screening in Miami Shores, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across the campus location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with campus contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with directions and general information, and support a professional presence during classes, events, and after-hours operations.
  • Complete routine reports, incident logs, and shift communications, and follow Allied Universal protocols for assigned posts, key areas, and/or restricted locations.
