About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Rover in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic retail and entertainment location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage incidents. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, retail location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the entertainment and retail location, including entrances, exits, sales floor areas, common areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor activity around amusement, dining, and/or guest gathering areas, helping to address access concerns, rule violations, and unusual behavior in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support closing and opening routines as assigned, including observing restricted areas, checking doors and gates, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or other property-related issues that may affect location operations.
