Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help support authorized access procedures and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Complete routine reports and pass down relevant site information to help support continuity of operations across shifts.
