As a Security Officer Unarmed Route Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer patrolling a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site rules, visitor procedures, and restricted area requirements.
  • Support incident response and communication efforts with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership when needed.
