Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with badge checks, directional support, and other security-related screening procedures as required by the location.
• Support site operations by communicating with staff, contractors, and/or first responders during routine activities and unexpected events, while maintaining detailed and accurate records.
