About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Response in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities within an automotive location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, production-adjacent spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Support order at the location by communicating with employees, visitors, and site contacts regarding rules, directions, and security-related procedures.
