As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, help to enforce location rules, and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to post guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and help to direct people during medical, weather, and/or facility-related events.
