Requirements

A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, reporting policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Support Allied Universal and site management with routine reporting, shift handoff communication, and/or follow-up on security-related incidents and daily operations.
