About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with tenants and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location, including lobbies, common areas, corridors, parking areas, and exterior perimeters, helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance-related issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access as directed by site policies, and provide directions and assistance to guests, tenants, and delivery personnel.
  • Support day-to-day property operations by communicating clearly with tenants and staff, completing required reports, and helping to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence at the location.
