About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related violations according to site procedures.
  • Support day-to-day operations by assisting with lobby coverage, visitor direction, and after-hours checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas as directed by site-specific protocols.
