About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a dynamic media and technology location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. In this people-first role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs, and deliver customer service with agility, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a media and technology location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry permissions for employees, guests, and/or deliveries while following visitor management and credential check procedures.
  • Support site operations by assisting with incident reporting, directing foot traffic during busy periods, and responding to alarms, service calls, and/or after-hours security-related needs.
