As a Security Officer Patrol License Required in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, or telecom location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with site policies and post instructions.
• Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and reporting maintenance, life protection, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
