About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Emergency Preparedness in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utility location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and brings innovative solutions to daily operations.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns through established channels.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, perimeter fencing, gates, and other designated locations.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting unusual conditions, damaged infrastructure, or potential hazards to appropriate site contacts.
