Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine driving patrols, and support access control activities. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, or policy violations through established channels.
  • Support daily operations by preparing clear incident reports, maintaining awareness of site rules, and assisting with traffic, gate, and/or visitor control when requested.
