As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Operations in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, exterior areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter zones, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized individuals, and reporting suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or behaviors in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support a professional work environment by following client-facing standards, communicating clearly with team members and site personnel, and completing required reports related to security-related activities.
