As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic automotive location as an unarmed patrol professional with driving responsibilities. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking lots, entry points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic, verify credentials when required, and support access control processes for employees, guests, and/or deliveries.
  • Assist with incident reporting, policy reminders, and coordination during alarms, medical events, weather-related issues, and/or operational disruptions.
