As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Full Time in Elk Grove Village, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols throughout a property location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, communicate professionally with authorized personnel, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
