About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Patrol Driver for a retail convenience location in San Pedro, California. The unarmed patrol officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible security presence, helps deter incidents, and provides customer service and communication. The role involves driving and requires a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal’s driver policy. The schedule is Monday 3:30 PM–11:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, and Sunday 3:30 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Applicants must meet age and education requirements and are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws. A Guard Card/License is preferred. Requirements

Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; escalate matters to appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the store, parking areas, fuel areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
