Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post. In a caring, agile, and innovative team, you will help to support security-related operations, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and act with integrity while assisting employees, visitors, and tenants.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining accurate site access records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
  • Support tenant, visitor, and contractor interactions at access points by providing directions, answering questions, and documenting security-related events according to site procedures.
