About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Operations in Boonton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will deliver strong customer service and communication while supporting daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and key operational spaces associated with utility services.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, property damage, and/or disruptions to daily operations through visible presence and routine observation.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.
