About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor management practices, and report maintenance or environmental issues that may impact daily operations.
• Support healthcare location operations by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with security-related inquiries, directions, and/or de-escalation when appropriate.
