As a Security Officer Patrol Distribution Center in Hampstead, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations, actions, and/or unusual activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, trailer yards, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or potential hazards to the appropriate contact.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing shipping and receiving areas, noting irregular movement of people and/or vehicles, and communicating security-related concerns promptly.
