As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall environment, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and contribute to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall areas, including sales floors, entrances, common areas, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with store personnel, mall management, customers, and responding public service agencies.
