As a Security Officer Patrol Communications Agent in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and report discrepancies or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support day-to-day operations by assisting with incident reporting, answering routine questions, and following post instructions related to after-hours access, deliveries, and/or property checks.
