About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Communications in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including offices, common areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter zones, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential risks.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and following site access procedures.
• Support a professional environment within a technology-focused location by maintaining awareness of daily operations, reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
