About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Commmercial Tech Building in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and data center location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and report security-related concerns involving access control, visitor activity, facility infrastructure, and restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
