As a Security Officer - Commercial Building in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
