About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
• Verify visitor, contractor, and employee access credentials in accordance with site rules, while documenting arrivals, departures, and security-related events in required logs and reports.
• Observe sensitive and restricted areas for policy compliance, assist with directions and general assistance, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and/or first responders during routine and urgent situations.
