As a Security Officer - Patrol in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This role calls for strong communication, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach while supporting daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help to regulate entry and exit activity by observing visitor traffic, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious or unauthorized activity to the appropriate contact.
  • Communicate with site personnel, supervisors, and/or public agency representatives regarding security-related concerns, requests for assistance, and changing conditions during the shift.
