About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Agent in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor assigned areas for policy compliance, assist with crowd and line management during peak business hours, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or access issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support loss prevention and other security-related efforts by documenting observations, writing clear incident reports, and sharing updates with Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
