As a Security Officer Patrol Access Verification in Burlington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and the agile, reliable, innovative service Allied Universal is known for.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, patient-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
