As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access points to support a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and use computer or tablet systems to document access activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, shipping and receiving areas, employee parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Maintain accurate access-control logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation in accordance with site requirements.
