As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, maintaining visitor records, and communicating access concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Document incidents, observations, and shift activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
